The Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) Muslim Students Association (EUMSA) on Tuesday extended support to patients admitted at Masaka Regional Referral Hospital during a compassionate outreach aimed at offering hope and comfort to the sick.
The students delivered food and drinks to patients across several wards, shared prayers, and offered words of encouragement to those battling various illnesses. The gesture, they said, was inspired by the Islamic values of charity, kindness, and community support.
Speaking during the visit, EUMSA leaders emphasized the importance of standing with those facing health challenges, noting that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of patients.
“We came here to remind our brothers and sisters that they are not alone. We pray that Allah grants them quick recovery and restores their strength,” one of the EUMSA representatives said.
Hospital staff appreciated the students for their initiative, describing it as a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of patients and a positive example of youth involvement in community service.
