In his message to staff, Dr. Emma acknowledged the significance of the responsibility entrusted to him and emphasized that effective staff representation requires collective effort.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff members of EQUSaT for the honour and confidence bestowed upon me by electing me to represent you at the University Council,” Dr. Emma said.

He noted that the responsibility ahead is one that cannot be handled by one person alone, calling upon all staff members to work together towards achieving their shared aspirations and advancing the interests of the University community.

Dr. Emma further appealed to staff to embrace unity and move beyond divisions, encouraging a collaborative approach focused on common goals.

“Let’s do away with cliquish politics and pull together towards universal goals,” he urged.

He emphasized that meaningful progress can only be achieved when staff members stand together, support one another, and contribute collectively to the development of the institution.

Quoting former United States President Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Emma concluded his message with a reminder of the importance of unity: “A house that is divided cannot stand.”
