October 18, 2024 — Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) hosted pupils from Miles Junior School for an educational tour of its campus.
During the visit, the pupils were taught about the importance of education, leadership, and life skills, with special guidance on how to manage personal lives and set long-term goals.
In a unique interactive session, pupils who aspired to become future leaders were given the opportunity to briefly take on University Guild leadership roles, allowing them to experience firsthand what it means to lead within a higher education setting.
The visit inspired the young learners to aim higher in their academic and personal journeys, while also strengthening community engagement between EQUSaT and primary schools in the region.
Contribution to SDGs
The initiative contributed to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by inspiring lifelong learning and leadership skills, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between higher education institutions and primary schools.
