EQUSaT Welcomes New Appointments to Advance Its Vision for Transformative Education
A new chapter of leadership, service, and transformation begins as Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) recognises the appointment of three distinguished members to key leadership positions, reflecting the University's continued commitment to strengthening governance, advancing academic excellence, and building an institution prepared for the future.

At EQUSaT, leadership appointments represent more than changes in designation; they mark a commitment to nurturing talent, promoting institutional development, and creating an environment where students, staff, and communities can thrive.
The University is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Abid Sharif Mohammed as Deputy Vice Chancellor – Finance and Administration. His appointment reflects EQUSaT’s confidence in his experience, leadership capacity, and ability to support the University’s strategic growth through effective administration, financial stewardship, and operational excellence.
In another significant leadership transition, Ms. Mugenyi Faridah Kiwunda has been appointed as the Dean of Students, following her previous service as Administrative Assistant. Her progression represents the University's commitment to recognising dedication, professional growth, and impactful service. In her new role, she will play a central part in strengthening student welfare, engagement, and a supportive learning environment that places students at the heart of the university experience.
The University also celebrates the appointment of Mr. Ronald Tusiime as Head of Estates. This appointment further demonstrates EQUSaT’s investment in capable leadership and its vision of building a strong institutional foundation for sustainable growth.
Together, these appointments highlight an important principle: universities advance when leadership is built on competence, inclusivity, and a shared commitment to transforming lives through education.
