EQUSaT Vice Chancellor Participates in Review of Uganda National Commission for UNESCO Strategic Plan

November 27, 2024 — The Vice Chancellor of Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT), Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, attended the review of the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO’s strategic plan.

 

The meeting brought together education leaders and policymakers to assess progress and refine strategies for implementing UNESCO’s priorities in Uganda. Among the key issues discussed was sustainable quality education, with a focus on aligning national initiatives to global education goals.

 

Prof. Mpezamihigo’s participation positioned EQUSaT as an active contributor to national and international dialogues on the future of higher education and sustainable development.

 

Contribution to SDGs

The engagement supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening educational policies and strategies, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between UNESCO, universities, and other stakeholders.
