Accra, Ghana, September 9–10, 2024 — The Vice Chancellor of Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT), Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, attended a continental conference in Accra, Ghana, dedicated to examining and improving the quality of education in Africa.
In his deliberations, Prof. Mpezamihigo shared insights on how universities in Uganda are managed, highlighting best practices and offering recommendations for sustaining and enhancing educational quality across African higher institutions.
The conference also provided a valuable networking platform. The Vice Chancellor established connections with heads of various universities across West Africa, creating opportunities for future collaborations, academic partnerships, and knowledge exchange.
The engagement further cemented EQUSaT’s growing role in shaping the continental dialogue on higher education reform and excellence.
Contribution to SDGs
The conference supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting strategies for educational improvement, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through discussions on innovative institutional practices, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by building cross-regional networks with universities across Africa.
