Masaka, June 16, 2024 — Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) marked Eid al-Adha with a generous community outreach initiative, giving away three cows to celebrate the festival of sacrifice. One cow was shared among students, another distributed to staff, and the third extended to the surrounding community.
The ceremony was officiated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, while the Dean of Students and the University Male Warden oversaw the distribution. The initiative was designed not only to honor the spirit of Eid but also to combat hunger and foster a sense of togetherness within the university and its neighborhood.
The gesture was warmly received and has significantly enhanced EQUSaT’s relationship with the local community, reinforcing the university’s role as both an academic hub and a partner in social development.
