EQUSaT Recognized as Most Tax Compliant Institution in South Western Uganda

Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) was honored at the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Conference, where it emerged as the most tax-compliant institution in South Western Uganda.

 

The recognition underscored the university’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and good governance in financial management.

 

EQUSaT was represented at the event by Vice Chancellor Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, Ms. Tusiime Olivia (Academic Registrar), and Mr. Tusiime Ronnie (Head of Estates), who collectively reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to compliance with national regulations.

 

This milestone not only positioned EQUSaT as a role model for other institutions but also strengthened its credibility within the higher education sector and the broader community.

 

Contribution to SDGs

The recognition supported SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting accountability and strong institutional governance, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between higher education institutions and national bodies like URA.
