Masaka, September 20, 2024 — Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) announced a series of job vacancies aimed at giving equal employment opportunities to Ugandans and other qualified candidates from around the world.
The recruitment process was conducted in a free and transparent environment, with interviews held to identify the most suitable candidates. As a result, the university successfully recruited several experts from Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Sudan.
This exercise not only strengthened EQUSaT’s academic and professional workforce but also created a healthy balance in human resource expertise and nationality, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
Contribution to SDGs
The recruitment drive contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by creating fair employment opportunities, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through equal access to jobs for all nationalities, and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing the university’s human resource capacity.
