Masaka, June 20, 2024 — The Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) Guild Government organized a vibrant youth-centered seminar dubbed “I-Talk”, designed to empower students with knowledge on mental health, career guidance, and personal development.
The event was officiated by the EQUSaT Guild Vice President, H.E. Hafiswa Ndagire Mbuga, together with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo. It attracted more than 100 students who were engaged in sessions facilitated by the University Counsellor, the Vice Chancellor, the Dean of Students, and other experts.
Beyond the formal discussions, the seminar also incorporated fun and interactive activities such as Truth or Dare, board games, chair dancing, bottle flipping, and a campfire, which added an element of recreation while strengthening student bonds.
Contribution to SDGs
The I-Talk seminar advanced SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by addressing mental health awareness, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through career guidance and personal growth, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by ensuring youth have equal access to mentorship and empowerment opportunities.
