EQUSaT Dental Surgery Pioneers Narrate Experience In Pakistan

By Donge Dan

BDS YEAR 4

First, the weather was extremely hot compared to what we are used to in Uganda.

The people of Pakistan are very welcoming and social. They are quite curious about black people, and they always seem excited and happy whenever they see one. They often ask for pictures and autographs.

Their food is heavily spiced, with a lot of chili. The environment is beautiful, with well-maintained roads.

All in all, the people of Pakistan are very kind and hospitable.

That is what I have observed.

In Dental studies, we have learnt how to make complete dentures and partial dentures as part of Prosthodontics.

We have also studied Orthodontics, focusing on removable appliances and functional appliances.

In Dental Radiology, we explored CBCT, OPG, and Lateral Cephalograms—covering both the practical procedures and their interpretation.

Additionally, we have been introduced to dental protocols and the organization of different departments.
