EQUSaT Commemorates International Labour Day with Staff Leave and Online Engagements

Masaka, May 1, 2024 — Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) joined the rest of the world to commemorate International Labour Day by granting its staff a day’s leave to rest at home.

 

Although physical work was suspended, the university’s digital and messaging platforms remained active with messages and resources dedicated to celebrating the workforce. Staff received inspirational content on how to be successful in their careers while maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

 

The commemoration also featured interactive online discussions where members of staff shared ideas on creating effective teams and nurturing a positive work environment. The digital engagements underscored the university’s commitment to promoting employee well-being, even during moments of rest.
